Our Story

Renaissance Widows Aid Foundation was established out of a burning passion to share knowledge, guidance, and strength gained through personal experience after the loss of a beloved husband. What began as a personal journey of survival and learning grew into a mission to support other widows going through similar pain.

The foundation was established from a deeply personal journey of loss, learning, and resilience. After experiencing the devastating impact of losing a beloved husband, the founder gained valuable knowledge and strength through that difficult season. What began as a personal healing process grew into a calling a mission to guide, inform, and uplift other widows walking the same painful path.

We understand the loneliness, fear, and confusion that follow bereavement. That understanding drives our commitment to reach out, inform, and empower widows especially those who are less privileged and struggling to cope.

Vision

To create an enabling environment of strength among widows by reaching out to all affected women, encouraging them to remain calm, rebuild their lives, and raise their children with confidence and dignity.

Our Mission

Our mission is to empower widows through free feeding support, education and information sharing, access to free legal aid, provision of micro-loans for economic independence, and by fostering unity, integration, and mutual support among widows.

Our Values

Our foundation is guided by compassion, dignity, strength, empowerment, integrity, and a deep commitment to building a supportive community where widows can rebuild their lives with confidence and hope.

Our Foundation Journey

Incorporated on 4th August 2015 with the Corporate Affairs Commission of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Renaissance Widows Aid Foundation has continued to expand its reach, touching lives through welfare assistance, empowerment programs, and advocacy.

Over the years, we have seen widows move from grief to growth, from despair to determination. Every outreach, every training session, and every act of support is a step toward rebuilding lives and restoring confidence.
