Lady Ambassador Rotarian Agnes Njoku is the Founder of Renaissance Widows Aid Foundation.

She is from Mbasie from imo state. She is a health professional who sees health as wealth. She is a widow and given her experiences has taken up this foundation to empower, encourage, facilitate , educate the widows on the need to remain very resilient with their families while channeling their energies towards educating , engaging in businesses while looking after their children.

Evang Dr Bethran Uzodinma is from Umuezie Nguru Mbaise in Aboh Mbaise Local Government. He is the patron of Renaissance Widow Aid Foundation. His empowerment role in the community such as sponsoring the widows, the orphans and the less privilege has gained him the role as the Patron in this great organization. He is the current chairman of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Imo State Command, and the United Nations Peace Ambassador. This recognition brings Imo State into the global spotlight for grassroots peacebuilding, as well as reaffirming the role of community leaders in sustaining security and development.

Lawrencia Nwanna with root from Mbaise in Imo state, is a professional with a strong background in communication, creative arts, and interpersonal development. Her commitment to excellence and service has consistently driven her involvement in humanitarian and community-based initiatives.

As a result of her strong background, she is the Lagos State Branch Coordinator of Renaissance Widows Aid foundation, under the chairmanship of Mrs. Agnes Njoku (CEO), Lawrencia oversees operations, supports outreach programs, and contributes to the organization’s strategic objectives.

My name is Nosike Presedes Adaure. I am a nurse in one of the federal establishments in Nigeria. A mother of 4 and grandmother of 2. I have been a widow for 13 years, and my experience as a widow is not palatable at all. Though widowhood is not by choice, I cannot wish that on my enemy.

Since the death of my husband, everything about me changed, but I kept on pushing and managing myself, doing everything alone(suffering and smiling). As a coordinator of Renaissance Widow Aid Foundation, we have had an impact in the lives of many widows by doing free medical outreach, distribution of food items, clothes, and monetary gifts. We have also helped them to understand what widowhood is all about and the way forward. Though being a widow is not the end of life, a lot needs to be done to survive the stress and pains of widowhood.

In conclusion, I can categorically say that Renaissance Widow Aid Foundation has come to stay because the founder, Ambassador Mrs Agnes Njoku, has influenced many widows positively, and she is ready to listen and solve the problems widows are facing.
